2009 was certainly a year I’ll never forget! The state of Tennessee saw a growth in martial arts/combat sports unlike any time in history. The UFC made two sell-out appearances, the XFC made their presence felt, and hundreds of Tennessee promoters hosted their own brand of mixed martial arts events. I personally want to thank each and every one of you for making this happen.
The upcoming year appears just as exciting. Several great events are already scheduled in 2010, and rumors of a possible Strikeforce event keeps us all guessing. Jason Wood is scheduled to challenge Jared Card on March 19, for the XFC Featherweight World title, and I’m sure I’ll be there in his corner.
